The fireworks look they are dancing. Nice shots. I am going to try doing this at the Capitol in 2006. I hate the idea of setting up a tripod in a crowd, but it must be done.

When I was shooting fireworks innitially my pictures came out very bright. What I mean is that the black was hazy but with some photoshop and a bit of contrast and saturation you can achieve these kinds of photos even with a 5 second shutter speed like I did. Just make sure your on a tripod.

Actually, 5 seconds exposure is just about right. Be sure to use a small opening to get the details of the firworks. I use an f16 opening for my firworks shots. you can see two of my World Pyro Olympics shots here.

Very nice pictures mojos (also yours, Nidz and 10Dennis.)

For mojos pictures, my browser EXIF reader (Opanda IExif 2) reads Shutter Speed 2.0 sec. aperture f 8.0 sorry, no ISO info

After using Opanda I looked carefully into the lower left corner of each photo to read the same info:
f/8 2.0 sec. 6.0 mm 26 Dec 2005 :) .

I can guess the ISO was the lowest possible to avoid noise.

Looks like you are also one of those lining up the seawall with their camera and tripod.

I was also there during the 5-day duration of the event. Even the second night when it rained.

I posted some of my pics (one for each country) here...
