Missed out on 20% off Refurb promotion

I recieved a notice frrom Canon price watch that there was going to be a 20% off sale on selected Canon refurb lenses, starting at midnight last night. I am awaiting delivery of a new 100 f/2.8L macro lens, from B&H, due Monday. Canon is currently offering a $120 instant rebate on that lens. I felt like I got a good deal on the new lens, but 20% off the refurb price of $839, works out to $671. For that price I thought I'd get a refurb. So I got up at 1:30am this morning to make my purchase and they were already out of stock. Curses foiled again... Anyway, my 100L macro will be delivered tomorrow or the next day ($120 instant rebate, and no taxes). I want what I want, I'm not waiting. -rick

I'm on the hunt for a 20% off refurb 100-400. I'm hoping they get a pile of 'em in stock soon but I fear none will appear during the promotion.

Don't feel bad, the 100L wasn't even in stock before the promotion started. Hardly anything was.

just bought my 5d2 from CLP and you get 20% off any lens when you purchase it with the camera. many were out of stock, luckily they had the 17-40L

yes, but it only 10% off not 20% like the other bodies. I just ordered one yesterday. $1583 + tax.

I got my 10l from the refurb store, it was excellent. They'll come back in stock once the sale is over.

70-300l back ordered. Cancelled my order.

A note hit my inbox at 2.46am this morning that the 35L was up on the refurb site. By the time I checked at 740am it was gone, of course.

man, the prices are insane for some of these lenses...and of course I missed out on all the ones I would've bought. Ah well.

Yeah, never happens. I find my local Craigslist or the Sell Forum here have pretty good deals or at "in-stock" better than the Canon refurbed site. And, still have to shell out a state tax for me so the % discount isn't all that appealing for the limited 90 day warranty either....

The 35L was back in stock last night at 3am, got the email. It was $965!!! Of course, its now out of stock. Amazing price

They just restocked their stuff. There is a 17-55 for $750
