That's exactly what I was doing Jon. If you notice, the first two pictures were from my day at the park using the lens, which is the first thing I did with it. The cereal shots, which I did because people here recommended it as a better sample of its performance, were done the next day and took five minutes. After I finished them, I went out and used the lens for a couple more hours.

Fine. Just didn't want you to get too tied up testing the lens!

It is an outstanding lens. Though I intend to get the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8, I still with probably keep the F4L.

I was thinking the same thing until today. The price difference is not that big of a deal, but the Sigma is 2.8 lbs. (1.27 kilos) as opposed to the 1.5 lbs. (0.68 kilos) for the Canon.

I cannot wait for my belated present to get here. I thought for a while about spending the extra cash for next day air, but I decided to save the money after looking at the forecast for our area this weekend. It is going to rain anyway, so no go on shooting.

Did you get the collar with your lens? I need to find a place to pick it up sort of cheap. It is about one-quarter the price of the lens.

Get the Black one for $89 ... same as white but $30 cheaper and looks better IMO.

B&H and ignore the fact it says for the 200mm f/2.8L II. It works fine on the 70-200 f/4L ... I have one > :D
