Hi Stan. The exposure looks OK, bright sunny midday by the look of it. But everything else is evokes a negative response: back of player, missed the crucial action, no other player, a busy background, taken from standing. The linesman tells me its a game, but it could just as easily be a training session in a park (weeds in the grass). He's a goalie (by the gloves), so where's everyone else? If you don't shoot much soccer, keep trying. Its not an easy sport to master.

I'm not even going to give the exposure a thumbs up, looks to be at least 1/3 to 2/3 over. I'd also suggest a much tighter crop on this. Otherwise, the comments you made are spot on.

OP, I prefer shooting soccer from the end lines, usually pretty near the corners as it allows you to get approaching action and provides little obstruction from the goal frames. I'll also shoot from near midfield trying to capture the keeper and defenders mainly (although, most of the game is usually played near the midfield so there's always lots to shot there). Also, I always shoot from a seated (indian style) or kneeling position as it creates a better perspective and adds impact. Hope that helps.
