Here are a couple of the Blue Angels from the 2012 Cleveland National Airshow.

I found that while I enjoyed the process of shooting the airshow, I am not sure that there is much new here. Seems like most Blue Angel shots look like most other Blue Angel shots. This could be in Cleveland or Arizona, or even Russia.

The last shot, while not as "quality" as the other 2, at least shows something unique. The airport has a retired Blue Angel (and Thunderbird) on a pedestal at the entrance to the parking lot. So from my angle about a mile away, I was able to get the new Blue Angel #1 passing by the old Blue Angel #1. Some editing was done to reduce the emphasis on the clutter between them.

The first time I saw the Blue Angels I was 9. 22 years later, it's the same show.

I like the idea of your 3rd shot, but the PP you did to de-emphasize the cluter between the foreground and the taxiing Blues makes it look almost like you cut & pasted the foreground into the photo.

Nice series though.

I removed the edit, and posted a more true photo. I don't have the time right now to post both versions. Maybe later.

That one definately looks a bit better now, IMHO. have you tried fiddeling with the exposure and saaturation on the taxiing Blues? That might make the connection between the F-4 and F/A-18's a bit more distinct. Just a thought.

Nice try with that.
