The 14mm in particular looks interesting. Although designed for video, it has full-frame coverage and should be just as functional for stills. It'll be interesting to see if they've fixed the moustache distortion of the 14mm f/2.8, while retaining its corner-to-corner sharpness - if so, it might be the next UWA prime of choice.

AFIK these are the optics from the standard lenses shifted over to a cine build?

Damn - I was hoping it had updated optics. The distortion is the only thing that keeps it from being a great lens, rather than just a good lens. It's just as sharp as the Zeiss 15 and, like the Zeiss, has nearly no CA...

I LOVE my Samyang 14mm... One of the best buys I have ever made... The $280 or whatever I paid brand new.

Sure it has distortion, but when I need it fixed LR does it good enough (for me) with the profile. Such a sharp lens, it's amazing. I can't recommend it highly enough.
