So... I did my first wedding as a 'Second Shooter' or assistant..
Not done anything like this before and only really did it to help my girlfriend out who is just starting out in this business.
I aimed for just the candid kind of shots to see how I would get along with those. The one problem I did find is that it was such a bright day and I lost a hell of a lot of detail in the white dress... Ending up with quite a few very bright white pictures!
Can anyone give me some tips on how to counteract this? Also, the ceremony was outdoors and while it was extremely bright out there, when the bride and groom were under the shelter it was obviously in the shade.. I was unsure on how to meter these shots and again, was having difficulty getting a correctly exposed shot.
I'd love to have another go but at the same time would like to be more prepared. One thing I learned it that I should be shooting in RAW more often.
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the day. Stupidly I messed about with my ISO and forgot to change it back resulting in some shots being taken this way. Nevermind, live and learn!
