Anyone have the 100-400L and use it with the LowePro Lens Case 3?

See http://lowepro.com …ns_cases/Lens_Case_3.aspx (external link)

I'm wondering if it will fit with the hood reverse-mounted and tripod collar on. I think it will, but if not, I will need to get the LC4.

Thanks to anyone who knows. Jojo

Negatory ghost rider. I bought the 5S for this lens. The lens swims in the case. True, it is the only one that the lens can sit in, but I wouldn't use it for this purpose. I am looking at alternatives.

The Lowpro 4S fits the 24-70 and 16-35. The Lowepro 4 fits the 70-200. Not sure WHAT the 5S was designed for.

I actually spoke with Canoga Camera (so-Cal) and the guy over the phone says "hold on one sec while I go grab it." So next thing I know I hear grunting and shoving and he says, "Yep, the 100400IS with everything fits into the LC3." I assume he's right. I know the LC4 fits but if the LC3 does the job that's the one I want.
