But im wondering what programs/addons do you use when editting your raw files I would like to see the difference of the two for my self :D

If I use a program i use CS2 for my jpegs.

I use a variety of RAW converters. I started with breezebrowser and moved onto C1 which is my mainstay of converters. I also use Raw Shooter both Essentials and Premium. I was never a fan of ACR so just have stayed away from that one.

I find that C1 and RSP give results that are pretty close to each other. I alernate between them depending on the subject type in the image.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I'm very pleased with Rawshooter Premium. I don't care for Adobe Camera Raw, at least not with the functionality it includes when used in conjunction with PS Elements 3.0. Canon's DPP is free, of course, but so is the better (IMO) Rawshooter Essentials. I've never used Breezebrowser or C1.

DPP, EVU and ACR. Which one I use just depends on my mood and what and how many raw files I'm processing.

C1, RSE, and ACR. ACR is what I use about 90% of the time.

The raw converter (ACR) that comes with PSCS2 is actually pretty good. It has a lot of capability that you can try for free, since you have it already. Some of the other popular RAW converters also have free trial periods available, or are entirely free.

My new favorite is C1Pro followed closely by RS Pro...often I will use DPP for quick review and quick batch conversion for proof purposes. I find these three useful depending on what I am doing. I do not use the Photoshop Raw software...I among the minority, I think, in finding it less than intuitive and burdensome...my opinion.

CS2/Adobe Camera RAW 99.% of the time. Reading the Bruce Fraiser book really helps you get the most out of it. I tried RSE but didn't like it so much. I do like its fill light and use it just for that.

Been using RSE/RSP for months.

Tim, have you looked at RSP? Just to see some of the extra benefits offered? I agree, fill light is nice, and does a good job of bringing out detail in the shadows. RSP includes some nice features like rotation, cropping, levels, and curves (overall, not individual color channels...yet).

TLee,
I regular use the following RAW converters:
Breezewbrowser (for making quick proofs)
Capture One (for really nice red, orange and blue colors)
RawShooter premium (including the color engine profile)
but most of all:
Bibble Professional, so much ease, so many features...
