I took these head shots last weekend with my 7d and alien bees. Portraits isn't normally my thing but I'm happy with how these came out. # 5 is my favorite.

C&C appreciated

I like #4 best. They all do seem a little under exposed and soft to me though . I am viewing them on my phone so may just be me.

The focus looks soft except # 3 and a bit under exposed.

Number 3 for me :)

Underexposed. More light on the face. Soft.

I had a beauty dish overhead and a small softbox under it.

Catch lights look unnatural with the BD overhead. All the catch lights are low on her eyes. You might try the softbox high and a reflector low. Background...was it white or gray? I would have cropped all in portrait and not landscape. A lot of unused space and with a beautiful model, I would have pulled tighter on her. If you enable image editing, others could post examples of different PP. JMHO.

Thanks for the pointers. The background was white but inkoved the model away from it tonmake it appear grey. I changed the editing permissions
