I don't really notice water color issues. I'm colorblind so that might be it but nothing that sticks out. Here's some from a buddy's bday party last night. Horrible lighting but whatevs, it was fun :)

I've only seen the watercolor effect a few times when I take outdoor photos. Those shots don't look like horrible lighting to me hehe.

I got invited to take some photos at a friend's studio today. It was the first time I really got to use my X-Pro1 on an actual model successfully.

I had to rely on manual focusing via the LCD the entire time since AF and the AF illumination were useless in the dark haha, and it still felt like I was missing shots from then the model changes their pose or from me changing angles. It really did challenge me and forced me to shoot a bit out of my confort zone. All in all it was fun :)

This is so great, thank you for posting this. If this is your girlfriend/wife, I'd frame + hang on the wall.

I'm closely keeping an eye on this Fuji X-E1. It'd be a nice compliment to my 5D3 for when I want a lightweight, on-the-go camera. The images in this thread are selling me!

Hello,
I am thinking about getting a X-E1.
I just have one question. With the latest firmware, does the EVF lag or freezes?

Cheers!

The EVF lag is associated with low light and/or long telephotos. There's not much to speak of with the 18-55 Fuji lens, but it is rather noticeable with my 135mm f/2.8 lenses (FD and CZCY) and FD 300mm f/4.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Haha that was the main reason I wanted the XP1 over the X100, although I really REALLY wanted the X100 when it was first announced.

I will be impatiently waiting on the sucessor to the X-Pro1/X-E1 to the point where I might even get an X100s is my 5DII ever sales haha.

@Tony-S - That Piano reminds me of the upcoming Jazz festivals, so looking forward to using this camera during festivals.

Has anyone tried the new Adobe RAW support? I haven't had a chance to test it out yet...

I've have it installed but I have not bothered to test it out on any of my watercolored images to care. But it looks like Adobe is finally onboard with the X-series cameras. Which is going to make a lot of people happy :)

It's now 12:31AM, here's two photos for all you late night owls.

Edit: Question for people who have used Fuji in the a studio setting, because I've had challanges using AF, what are your preferred strategies/methods for shooting with strobes or in dark rooms?

Haven't used it before as I always used C1, so I can't compare to previous editions, but downloaded the LR4.4 RC1 yesterday and there's nothing wrong with the pictures that come out of it.

Didn't use it in a studio yet, but I quickly switch to MF in difficult focus situations.

Broke out my Canon FD Auto Bellows and 20mm f/3.5 macrophoto lens to see how they would perform on the XE-1. It is quite a difference with live view amplifying the signal, compared to the old film days. This is a 6x magnification of the Statue of Liberty on the back of a US $1 coin. (Nothing interesting to shoot yet.)

Its range is 4x to 10x with this lens, or 12.5x if I also add my FD50 extension tube. Here's what it looks like on the camera (using the Fotodiox adapter).
