AF sucks but is useable, especially if you are coming from a DSLR camera. I managed to shoot a full wedding with my XPro1 and X-E1. But, if anyone here is looking for a responsive AF camera then look elsewhere or wait for the next batch of Fuji camera to come out.

zone focusing is very easy with the XPro1 since you can see the distance scale in camera.

Really love your photos BTW.

Alright, thanks a lot for info, i zone focus often, but would be nice to have fast reliable AF too...
Is the manual focusing on the Xpro1 quick and seamless enough to maybe replace AF?

Enjoyed your website too, thanks!

Yeah, I'm still learning how to use the AF myself. I find that there are situations where it's locks on every time and there are times when it will go through the entire focus range of the one before it finds focus or gives me the AF message.

With Manual focusing I find to be fairly good overall, helps me out when I'm in a pinch. With the Fuji 35mm I find that I still need to turn the ring quite a bit but its not a pain. While the 18-55 lens is a lot more responsive in terms of adjusting focusing and auto focusing.

I find myself switching back and forth from AF to MF mode quite often. I still have a lot to learn with this camera but loving every moment of it.

Very nice series of photos. I'm with you on the selling gear thing. The more I shoot with these Fuji X cameras, the more impressed I am.

Also, I am currently watching this video from 8 months ago in regards to Hybrid Imaging (Photo+ Video) through mirrorless cameras.

They are talking about the GH3 but what I am taking from this video is how mirrorless camera may potentially replace DSLR and HDSLRs in terms of professional use.

Edit:I forgot to share the link...again. The video name is "The Birth of Hybrid Photography" same person did a really nice review showing off the Fuji mic for the X-E1/X100s

This thread is so amazing that I may just forget my 16-35 L II purchase and grab the x100s or X-E1. I have seen the X-E1 and 35 1.4 popup for sale twice this week. both listed at 1000.00. I am also having a little buyer remorse over the 24-70II that I just had to have.

^^ Interesting looking building.

This was a lighting test with the X-Pro1 and 18-55, back on May 25th.
