The 2nd one is purposely dark with the light focus on the name. Was done with a led torch diagonally placed and a card blocking the full impact and direct a bit of light on the name. They are quite nice but don't quite look "professional" yet ( something my work suffers from too!). Take a look at some luxury watch manufacturer websites, eg: http://www.longines.com/watches/collections The lighting and reflections have a hyper-real quality about them that you could try and emulate. Sorry if I've overstepped the mark, for all I know you don't want that glossy promo look and were after exactly what you got. My objective was definitely not to achieve what you'd describe as a professional product shoot. I'd be earning happily earning if I were to emulate what is shown in the websites
