How do you sell your old DSLRs or lenses? E-bay? Amazon? Craigslist? I have lots of gear I need to unload, craigslist has been nothing but disappointing so far (lots of spam).

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Sep 26, 2012 16:19 | #3 I've done well on craigslist. I'm not a big fan of remote sales for that sort of valuable item. Just use some common sense, just put something in the ad asking for a bit of information that only a local would know, and be safe about where you meet.

This has always been my approach with my other gear-heavy hobby (music) and has worked out well for me. I bought a lens from a user here and had a very good transaction. 6D, 17-40L, 24L II, 50L, 100L, 70-300L.

I don't use ebay any more because of too many scammers and the use of paypal. Way too many horror stories with paypal. You get a lot of Nigerian scammers on craigslist, but just ignore them. Only talk to people in your area that you can meet in person. Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III | 17-40mm f/4.0L | 70-200mm f/2.8L USM | 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro | 300mm f/4.0L IS
