great shots. One thing I want to ask. Are the shots slightly over exposed? They seem quite bright.

thanks everyone!

as far as being over-exposed, I think I just like my shots a bit brighter. plus, I am processing these for printing, and my printer seems to make everything darker than it looks on my monitor, so maybe. I don't like to strain to see what's in the shadows.

Just out of curiosity...

What type of PP are you doing to your images?

Thanks! :)

Yikes, I do a lot of post processing. I can describe it if you like, but it would take a while.

Please don't go through the trouble...as I was just curious that's all as to what you actually did to make all your images as such:D

well, at a basic level, first, I dodge and burn to bring out the elements of the photo that I think are important, then I adjust exposure and levels, then saturation, then sharpening and noise reduction, then I add a split tone to give them a brownish tone, then I go back and adjust exposure again, then I export from light room. It takes probably 15 minutes per photo.

I love the split toning. it's useful for lots of things other than just giving your photo a sepia look or the like. with subtle adjustments, you can give a photo any kind of look!
