ID... I have a theory, but I think I am wrong

I used to swear I would never post an ID thread, yet here I am. Stumped.

I am guessing common grackle. The coloring and the dullness vs the other grackles I have photographed just doesn't make sense. The others are almost shiny. Of course I could be wrong.

I have had mixed results with google on bird ID's. Sometime it is useful, but I always seem to get too many junk results.

For the record, I have tens of thousands of photos and have only been stumped on a couple. (Though I would bet I am wrong on a few too :rolleyes

Upon further review... how about a Brewers Black bird? It was a bit out of its range, but winter ranges can be tough, especially with how warm it was last year.

I'm getting a Rusty Blackbird kinda feel from this one. Do you have any other pics of this bird?

Common Grackle is my guess, around here they are finishing molting and have a large difference in colors, yours has a lot of blue in the body but they change colors so easily in the sun. The head, eye and beak just say Grackle to me, of course I am usually wrong on id's.
