But, considering the luck I've had using a non-reporting 1.4TC on my 7D, it wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me.

However not at the expense of picture quality. I hope (pray) the quality is close to or even better than the 5D3. If so It will be on my HAVE to have list. Canon 7D, 24-105 f/4L IS, 70-200 f/4L IS, 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS, 430EX II,

The current 7D can match a 5D picture as long as you shoot at lower ISOs. Start raising the ISO and the larger sensor really shines though. However, bumping the pixel density as much as it seems to have been bumped will probably bring down the quality at higher ISOs. The current 7D does very well to about 1600 and 3200 is very usable with processing. I hope they can at least match that with the higher pixel count. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Feb 19, 2013 17:21 | #415 Wifi+GPS. 10FPS!!! 24MP. And 61 AF. Hello mini-1DX! gjl711 wrote in post #15627422 That should be a possibility. The current 7D can match a 5D picture as long as you shoot at lower ISOs. Not necessarily because the higher pixel density of the 7D will run into the sharpness limitation of lens more quickly. In other words the 5D3 is generally slightly sharper at low ISO because the 7D is more demanding on lenses. Canon 5D Mark III - Leica M240
