The ONLY thing I see on that list that I would love to have, but I figure it's a long-shot, is single-point AF at f/8. But, considering the luck I've had using a non-reporting 1.4TC on my 7D, it wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me.

10 fps @ 24mp? I hope they don't cheap out on the internal buffer.

"GPS & Wifi"

Waiting eagerly for this one. Not because I need it, but because it will be so entertaining to watch everyone's heads exploding over the "plastic" top!

I just said in another thread that a 24mp 1.6x senser would be nice for wildlife photography which is mostly what I love to do. However not at the expense of picture quality. I hope (pray) the quality is close to or even better than the 5D3. If so It will be on my HAVE to have list.

i was really hoping this thing would be released before may/june so i could use it for my heavy birding time of the year....but it doesn't seem like that's happening...now to wait, or just go for a 7D...

That should be a possibility. The current 7D can match a 5D picture as long as you shoot at lower ISOs. Start raising the ISO and the larger sensor really shines though. However, bumping the pixel density as much as it seems to have been bumped will probably bring down the quality at higher ISOs. The current 7D does very well to about 1600 and 3200 is very usable with processing. I hope they can at least match that with the higher pixel count.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Wifi+GPS. 10FPS!!! 24MP. And 61 AF. Hello mini-1DX!
'ISO Performance to get close to the 5D3'.
Okay back to a 7D that kicks the arse of a 5D for sports and speed!

Not necessarily because the higher pixel density of the 7D will run into the sharpness limitation of lens more quickly. In other words the 5D3 is generally slightly sharper at low ISO because the 7D is more demanding on lenses.

Thats one of the problems with it. IT looks exactly like what everyone wants. We'll see.

If that originates from Canon, it may mean no more than stronger JPEG noise reduction.

Well, I didn't see anything about auto-ISO working with flash enabled.
