Myself and a few friends have been considering a steampunk style photo shoot for the late fall, or possibly sometime next spring. As we have several people in the group who enjoy playing with photography an interesting idea has come up for the project: "Shooting from within", using 2 or more photographers, where at least one becomes the subject matter for another photographer. In general it should prove for a fun afternoon, even if the photos are horrible.

Ideally I would simply use a real camera and photosenstive plates of one kind or another, but that is a whole other realm that I'm not really to dive into just yet. Soon, but I need more space.

I have a few ideas on cases and bolt on modifications I could do to either of them (The red T3 may be getting a new paint job.) but I am still in a vague planning/research stage for the time. So I figured I would kick the concept to the community and see what pops out.

So, the goal is mostly to make something that appears to be of a Victorian era creation, while still having decent access to the main controls.

Dress it up as an 8x10 View Camera. You can easily make the "box" components and have the lens stick out the front as the actual optics.
