I have two versions of an image and would like to know which looks better. It was shot at 400ISO in low light, at a large aperture so it's a bit noisy and parts are out of focus. I'm more interested in which post-processing versions look better than composition critique. Basic workflow for the pics are as follows, each with a slightly different settings applied:
1) RAW to 16bit Tif using ACR, no sharpenning, sRGB
2) In PS CS2, Added levels adjustment layer
3) Unsharpen mask
4) Added two hue layers, one to desaturate, the other to change hue
5) On image 1 used Image>Adjust>shadow/highlight to bring out some more detail in the plugged up hair. Also in image 1, clipped a little more highlights using levels adjustment layer to try to make the whites whiter
6) Convert to jpg
Questions are:
1) Can you tell a difference between the two? If so which do you like better?
2) Do you think the whites are not white enough?
