Have I overdone this?

I have attempted to process my photo of the mountain Hassan Baik in the Kurdistan region. The original photo was very hazy and the colours rather muted. By playing about with the software, I came up with this image. The colours reminds me of the images in a book I had which was dated in the early 1980s.

looks a little grainy in the sky, and ground appears over saturated. you did get rid of the haze.

Maybe post an original that some of us could try and tweak for you.

Hard on the eyes!

White balance seems to be a little off as well. Sky is quite yellowish.

I know this isn't the critique forum so I hope you don't mind if I post an edit I did of your original image. In CS6, I used a levels adjustment layer to bring out the reds and blues and surpress the cyans and yellows. Hopefully, this still looks natural to you.

I used Neat Image noise reduction on the image. It did a good job removing noise in the sky without removing too much detail...especially on this size image.

Navydoc, that is absolutely amazing! I am really surprised at just how well it turned out to be! There's a lot to learn in this image processing work. I will try and see if I can replicate what you have done. Thank you very much, I really appreciate the work you have done.
