Howdy All,

A couple of shots at our South Bay Chameleon Keepers mtg:

5D3 100L. I might have a Kenko tube or two in there too ;)

I agree that the flash is harsh, a simple diffuser and something as a BG would improve this massively. Very cool creatures though.

Lovely captures. I cannot see any harshness, they both look good to me.

Howdy All,

Thanks for the comments :D.

I had been using one of those Lumiquest mini-softbox attachments on earlier shots of Mantids that day but switched to a Sto-fen before I made it to the chameleon shots :o.

alquimista: If you are ever serious about chameleons, spend a month reading posts on www.chameleonforums.com (external link) to see if your lifestyle can handle it ;). I did 8 years of it. You'll spend almost as much time raising and keeping the needed variety of insect feeders as you do maintaining and enjoying chameleon husbandry. It's the difference between having your chameleons just surviving (hopefully ) vs. thriving.

Dave, thanks for the link and the info, I have been told that chameleons are hard to keep, so I will be doing some reading ;)
