This is a merge of two images made from one where I've saved one exposed for the sky and the other exposed for the land. Various adjustments to levels etc followed to give this result. Opinions and improvement suggestions requested please

Did you try to cross the road and get it out of the shot? I don't think it contributes to this pastoral setting. Those critters in the distance on the right sure look interesting. I'd be thinking about getting closer to them and getting them in the shot. Joe

Titus213 Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 30, 2012 15:38 | #3 Sorry, outside of the interesting sky, albeit blown, it just doesn't grab me at all. The color of the field, the light on it, and the drab building in the foreground aren't helping me at all. Dave

Take the offered advice and shoot the scene again. The things you do for yourself die with you, the things you do for others live forever.

Snydremark my very own Lightrules moment More info | Sep 30, 2012 15:45 | #5 There's a massive, magenta shift to the whole image that really distracts from the rest of the image, for me. Also, *something* looks over-processed or otherwise 'off' in the sky portion. I can't quite identify what it is though - Eric S.: My Birds/Wildlife
