This is a merge of two images made from one where I've saved one exposed for the sky and the other exposed for the land. Various adjustments to levels etc followed to give this result. Opinions and improvement suggestions requested please :)

Nice job. I wonder if you had waited for a bigger cloud to drift by, you might have gotten rid of the blown out area from the sun. Did you try to cross the road and get it out of the shot? I don't think it contributes to this pastoral setting. Those critters in the distance on the right sure look interesting. I'd be thinking about getting closer to them and getting them in the shot.

Sorry, outside of the interesting sky, albeit blown, it just doesn't grab me at all. The color of the field, the light on it, and the drab building in the foreground aren't helping me at all.

Take the offered advice and shoot the scene again. ;)

There's a massive, magenta shift to the whole image that really distracts from the rest of the image, for me. Also, *something* looks over-processed or otherwise 'off' in the sky portion. I can't quite identify what it is though :( Maybe too heavy a use of the Recovery slider in the sky?

Thanks fellas. Back to the drawing board on this one. I appreciate the honest advice :)
