Hi,

I just received my new T2i camera kit (body & lens) and also purchased a book to help me use and understand this camera. The book that I purchased is by David Busch, it appears to be quite informative. Now for my question:
This book describes (with images) what the menu page should look like when I turn on the camera. However, I only have (1) red menu (Shooting), not (3) as shown. I also only have (2) Yellow menu (Set-up), not (3) as shown. How can I get all the menus to display as shown in the book?

Thanks,

Tom

With most Canon cameras, the camera needs to be in one of the creative modes for the menus to all show. In the basic modes, many of the menus and menu items will be missing.

Set the mode dial to P, Av, Tv, or M to see the rest.

The Busch book should be considered to supplement the manual, not replace it. On page 40 of the English manual a statement reads...

In Basic Zone Modes and Movie Shooting mode, the tabs and menu options displayed will be different.

Thanks John,

I'm read them both in concert with each other. I guess I just overlooked that part. There is a lot of information to digest (and LOTS of practice!!) :-)

Thanks,
