We vacationed in Nova Scotia the last 2 weeks & my one wish was to see a fox. Finally, after 11 days we found not one, but 2 red fox less than a mile from each other. I got our of the car to shoot this guy & he started to run. I said to him, "I only want to take your picture, don't run away." So he obligingly sat down & let me photograph him, even turning his head from side to side. The weather was overcast & drizzling so the light wasn't the best but I am happy to have my fox shots :)

Nice shots, Maureen. You obviously have a very persuasive way about you ;)

Great captures Maureen. I actually prefer overcast to sunny. The lighting is pretty good in the first shot.

I will bet the overcast conditions made the shots even better, sunny days can make it tough to keep the white fur from looking blown out.

Beautiful photos!

They make such great subjects.

We've got them in our neighbourhood, but I've never managed a good shot.

These are great!

We don't have any around here, at least to my knowledge so I was thrilled to see 2 in NS.

Yes, even tho they were very scarce but we saw a few about 8 miles out at sea while on a whale watch. Our lenses are only 300mm so 100% crop was the only way we could prove we saw any. :)
