Hey All,
I have a little boy with some special needs, so getting him to sit still, smile AND look at the camera for a second almost *never* happens! Until recently he could not even smile on command, so even that is a major accomplishment for him!
Today we were out by the lake, enjoying the beautiful fall weather, and he shocked my by sitting on a bench, and looking at me with this huge smile when I called his name, so I snapped a photo! I was in manual mode, using a basic 50mm (doesn't have IS or L or USM). The lake is behind him to the right which is washed out, and there is a tree on his left that turned to bokeh... what do you guys think of this? Pls advise.

I generally don't order the school photos -- I prefer to try to shoot my boys myself (lol) -- that way, they'll remember the fun we had while doing the shoot, and I can get exactly the poses and smiles I like!
