Moon light is a good light!

After getting the inspiration by a friend from POTH, utilizing the opportunity of a full moon week end night, got a few pictures using moon light only to lite up the scene.

I really had a great time.
The only problem is the time each picture needs. Night turns to morning in no time and good to have enough extra battery.

Is that a hint of Aurora action I can see in the first shot on the horizon? Good shots by the way!

Good eyes. To be honest, I have no clue either. Might be pixelation related artifact but not aurora. Site is very much away from pole.
Though I was shooting with a Nikon 50mm manual lens, seems the depth of view was playing a major role and infinity was not were I thought it should be. After all its at F / 1.2 lens.

Out of curiosity, what were some of the exposure times on these?

EXIF data shows 13 to 25 sec depending on photo.

Yes I don't remove the EXIF so they are self explanatory. BTW, I didn't shoot manual that I normally do in situation like this. Only switch to AV as I was using a manual Nikon lens on Canon body so letting camera decide on the needed amount of light but checked every image to decide on next, adjusting the (-)ve bracketing that was in -2 to -1 for most images.
I am truly amazed by the sensor power of newer DSLRs to capture the right color, once given them enough time. Of course as title states, Moon light is in my experience a very nice flattening light with no need to adjust White balance.
