We use the Pixel Grips and love them. Build quality was much better than expected. No lockups or restarts. Ergonomics and buttons feel very good. T Had it on since the 3 was released.. Guessing 16-20k clicks. Thus far we've been very impressed.

Has anyone tried the Valleo grip? BH has them and it looks identical to the Pixel.

I'm thinking the same... There aren't any reviews for it on BH, yet... I wonder if its price will drop down to compete the Pixel or Meike?

I would only go for the Valle (given its ~$99 cost) if there are any real reasons between Pixel or Valle...

I do like that Pixel is a bit stronger with the plate for the tripod mount. Sure, I usually handheld, but its always nice to have extra protection.

I just got DSTE grip. I paid $60 shipped so I guess I can't expect too much.

Positive :
Physically it fits nicely and tight to the body, no play.
The camera reports the battery levels on both batteries.
It has all the buttons like the original
It has the battery cover slot just like the original
It does have metal plate holding the bottom tripod screw, looks sturdy

Negative:
The rubber covering has different pattern than the Canon body but it's pretty close.
The joystick is very sensitive, pushing directional often triggers the push down function. Actually, the joystick only works on 3 directions on mine, pushing right always triggers push down.
The vertical shutter button has a different feel than the one on the camera but it functions properly

Overall, I am happy with the purchase since I don't use grip too often.

Bought it off a forum member on the forums. He got it as a bday gift and didn't need it. I got lucky.

Geez... That one is off my list.

I'm really waiting for some reviews on Vello's BG that just showed up on B&H.
