If you want I would give you an extra push right now. Go with 5d ii and you won't ever regret it.

Besides in a year or so the 5DMKIII will be in the range of where the MkII is right now. Why put yourself into financial difficulty when you don't have to.... I know I am a downer but then I have seen enough pictures to realize the real magic happens behind the camera..... I was thinking the same thing. I would find using just those two lenses very limiting. Also, I used to own both, and never really liked either lens.

Getting the kit for $2500 would officially fall into the realm of discomfort from a money standpoint.... While there are some advantages to FF, there are also disadvantages. For the above reason unless there is pressing need to go FF, I would just be happy with what you have, or add a new lens if the $$ is burning a hole in your pocket. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

stsva Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 01, 2012 13:36 | #26 I think the 5DII with 50 f/1.8 and 70-300 non-L would be an "upgrade" of sorts, but it would be a "not really worth the money I spent" upgrade. You need to get the right lenses for what you like to shoot to go with the body for it truly to be a worthwhile upgrade. I'd recommend keeping the 60D, and developing an upgrade path that will let you accumulate the EF lenses you'll need/want when you do go full frame. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

Now that you say it may be a year or more before you can get better glass, then maybe you should stick with the 60D and save the $1000 you have. In other words, DON'T get another lens, especially an EF-S lens if you plan to go FF in a year or two. Alex

That kit plus 50 1.8 should be enough for you right now Fuji XE-1, Zeiss ikon, Hasselblad; I love shooting film as a conceptual idea
