Make it simple. Go out and rent a 5DII. Shoot with it for a few days. Then when you are done, ask yourself if that was worth $1000.

Went from t2i w/ 17-55mm f2.8 to 5dmk2.. In general I would say all of my shots improved in detail/image quality and it was noticeable to me. For images shot in outside daylight, the t2i was fairly comparable to the 5dmk2, however for any low light, the 5dmk2 wins for sure. Overall, FF was worth it for me.

o yea because crop camera never existed and people shot street with FF film camera using a prime getting pin sharp images
