Sounds like with the 7 frame bracketing the 5D3 can take a lot of the adjustment/fidgeting (in my case) time out of the equation, letting one concentrate more on shooting. All this, of course, at the expense of additional disk space and processing time if you choose all 7 images for PP.

I sometimes try to bracket 7 frames with both 7D and 5D2, but even in a slow moving scene, I find that clouds have moved significantly after I switch to C2, release the shutter, and the 2 sec timer goes off. I'm sure that some movement is captured in the 5D3 as well, but more than likely, is minimized to a certain extent.

Couldn't the 7 frame setting have been implemented in the new 7D firmware as well? I realize 7D is not meant to be a landscape body (although there are many people who shoot awesome landscapes with it), but I think it would have been a worthwhile improvement.

You will be able to do this by using Magic Lantern fairly soon when it's finally available for the 7D.

There's lots of stuff we'd like Canon to put into their firmware but they dole out these features slowly, unfortunately...

7D, 450D | 17-55, 10-22, 55-250, 50 1.8, 580EXII | YN568II | YN622 x3 | Magic Lantern | (Still) Jonesing for a 70-200 2.8...
Turns out a gripped 7D + 622 + 580exII + 70-200 2.8 IS MK2 is BLOODY HEAVY! Who knew?!!

Awesome. I hadn't spotted that they'd made the breakthrough (http://www.magiclantern.fm …ws/138-ml-will-work-on-7d (external link)). Was always disappointed it wasn't available for the 7D, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent
