What is the Bokeh effect on the canon 70-200 F4 L lens like, especially compared to the 75-300 kit lens - I know it will be different - but just to what extent, and will the depth of field change much, even though the max aperture is only 0.5 less?

The 75-300 (non IS?) is 0.25x at 300mm... So you should actually gain more blur I believe with the 75-300, but the quality of the blur (bokeh) should be superior on the 70-200 due to more aperture blades and superior optics I would assume.
