I think they are great but lose the signature or at least place it inconspicuously in the corner.

The third one is my fav, but if it were my image, I'd crop out the brown basket, leaving just the textured white blanket to serve as a "background." I'd also clone some of the textured blanket over top of the Girly Bits. Very cute baby.

I personally dont like'the flowers on the baby's head. you see that in the majority of US newborn photo's, so it may be cultural. For me, it just distracts from the baby.

Agree with Sue that #3 is the best (no silly flowers, best skin color), but that it could use some additional cropping

Hmmm...I thought the best placement was somewhere it couldn't easily be cropped out? Wonder where I read that?

The headbands (and hats) is very popular in Canada. I don't own many myself, but I find that parents bring them to the sessions and want to use them.

I'll try it again with less basket.

They are clear and lovely, but the processing drives me insane . The instagram type old fashioned thing , for me only, is so unflattering. It makes them look jaundiced.I agree with Sue about making sure all the bits are covered.Using props is going to happen, but if you make them part of the photo as opposed to the huge focal point, it works best.

If you look at the forum here on newborns etc, you will see some fabulous poses that you can "form" the babe into. Seeing them flat out and overhead gets old fast, I bet you could work wonders with some different looks!

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Yikes - I personally love the old-fashioned look (I must - I did it :), but I didn't realize it was an instagram-type look. I'll steer away from it.

These were from my first shoot...I'll try out some different poses next time :)

Not slamming you on your likes, really, but while they are young, seeing their perfect coloring is a treat:D Sometimes one or two in the mix is lovely for the parents, but it can and does get tedious and overused. It seems to work when they are older. Again, just me and my feel for it. Good on the first shoot though:D Get your white balance down pat, then the extra time in processing won't take all your efforts.

Does anyone else have any feedback about watermark placement? Should it be off to the side or on baby? (just for web images - it's not there for client proofing, etc)

Don't have any idea where you read that, but the answer nowadays is nowhere. If you are paranoid about someone stealing your online work then "don't post it" is the only solution. It is easy to clone out watermarks - turn on image editing and I'll show you.
