I want a messenger bag that looks simple and not out of shape. Just want it to look like a regular messenger bag. And for a cheap price.

Posting your actual budget would be pretty useful. But, generally speaking, camera bags get fairly pricey quite quickly.

Approx around 10-40 dollar range.

You might want to try making your own. I think it's the only way to get it done cheaply. This worked for me:

And this: http://www.amazon.com …ef=oh_details_o04_s00_i01 (external link)

This setup held my 5d2 and 70-200mm + my 17-35mm Sigma. Lots of space for more accessories, too.

I've had no problems using any old messenger bag, but they are typically thinner than necessary because they are designed for papers instead of a boxy DSLR.

i've got one made by Patagonia, slips off my shoulder. the strap needs some rubber on it to give it some grip. my wife doesn't like because it doesn't zip shut.

+1 .... there was a lot of scrutiny on this in that thread - mine works fine whenever I want an un-noticeable messenger bag.

as for an insert I would suggest A domke wedding insert fron b&h or adorama for about 25 bucks .. much more rigid than the others . I picked up a messanger bag from a army supply and with the insert it's great .. I also have a domke messanger bag (large) and thats also great but cost more ....

The Rothco/Rapid Dominance/stealth bag off Amazon is a good bet.

Or pickup a used Timbuk2 from eBay.

The first one, oddly, looks like the Bizarro version of a Crumpler bag, while the Exchange Messenger is much more discrete looking.
