I hoped when I updated my 7D firmware to Ver 2.0.3 and EOS Utilities that I would see Lens perifferal/Correction data appear in EOS Utilities for my 40mm Pancake Lens.
But it is not there?

Is there any new data for this lens?

Is it normally found in EOS Utilities?
I'm on EOS Utilities Ver 2.11.40 - is that the latest version.

If there is none, does it matter that I leave the Lens correction Data Menu set to 'enabled' so the 70-300L and the 24-70II L data can be picked up; or do I have to change this when I put this lens on and then change it back when I use my L series lenses.
(thats a pain remembering).

So far the lens data hasn't been added to EOS Utility or Digital Photo Professional. Hopefully with the announcement of the 6D, there will be new versions that include it. Fortunately the lens is excellent and doesn't need much correction for chromatic aberration or distortion.

Your version of EOS Utility is current. Leaving the correction enabled in camera is fine because the camera won't apply a correction if it doesn't have data for the lens.

Thanks for the info - I just assumed as they had a new firmware for the 7D and told us all to update EOS Utilities it was sensible that they added lens correction data for such a popular lens.

As others have found I too am well pleased with it [considering the money!].
