I am looking into creating a website via an outfit such as Zenfolio or Smugmug. I noticed the sales option of filling orders yourself, or fulfillment through the host. I am interested to hear what others say and experience have been. I can see pluses and minuses for each. Thanks.

Best, Bruce

BTW - to answer your question... I prefer to have them do everything. I just collect money. ;-)a

I also have Zenfolio do everything. Tried a couple ofthe labs - picked the one that gacve the best results. Never looked back and never had a complaint about the quality of the images.

Perfect solution

Good to know and thanks. I like the idea of the service fulfilling any orders, but my concern was quality control and not being able to personally inspect. Sounds like worth trying.

One option is to have the fulfillment company ship to you, then you inspect and ship on.

But it's the hassle of it all. If you're dealing in high end art, or canvas prints or other big ticket items, I can see it being a bigger deal ... not for me though. I'll let Zen and their labs handle it. It's part of their service.
