Every second year, on the October Long Weekend, the Whyalla 4WD Club hosts the Weekend in Whyalla.
4WDers from around the state (and six vehicles this year from Tassie) converge on the Whyalla Showgrounds for tours of the region and a great social scene around the nightly bonfire.
Here are a few of my photos.
Saturday we travelled with one of the tour groups to Eagle Ridge, approximately 80kms South of Whyalla.

Sunday we lead a trip to Point Gibbon, South of Cowell

Sunday night was camp oven cooking competition, donation of $2,000 to the RFDS and a band that played until midnight.
