Great pictures. I am itching to get out and take some soon! Very windy here and not suitable for shooting. I am in the process of downsizing my kit and going a little lighter for every day stuff. Looking forward to continuing to follow this thread, looks like some very skilled ladies here.

Tristan is getting so big! He looks quite the little man there and so adorable. Happy Birthday from me too.

Hi Ladies,

Welcome, Robin!!

Maureen : What a cute shot of Tristan, and a Happy Birthday from me as well!!

Levina : Congrats on the newer lens, have fun with it.

Penel : Congrats on your fundraiser, well done!

I have been busy and not shooting much lately. I was supposed to take my boy camping with our 4-H group in the red woods. I had planned on going and taking lots of pictures, but life happened to get in the way. My husbands dad and his wife got in a car accident and my husband had to fly out of state to help them on the weekend I was supposed to leave. I stayed home to take care of the ranch and our business, so no camping for us. They will both be okay so that's what matters most.

I did take a picture for Joaynes weekly photo competition, then I played with the edit.

Yesterday I found this little guy/girl hanging out in our wood pile. No idea what it is, but it sure was cute.

Hi Stina! We missed you and your photographs. Bummer about the camping trip, but life gets in the way sometimes. Scary things, accidents. Good to hear everybody will be okay.

Nice shots. The little bird looks like a Wren. Don't know your local varieties, but definitely a Wren.

Am glad to see so many of you are back :) Stina, I hate it when things like that happen & everything is turned upside down. Glad your in-laws are okay, though.

I am getting a cold; Tristan's other Grandmother had it last week, then he came sown with it Friday & today he was drippy & coughing a lot; now tonight I am coughing. But, life goes on so I am sure I will live & trudge along through it. Am heading down south to check on my mother this coming weekend.

One more from Tristan's little photo shoot :) This is SOOC & only cropped; I used my 135mm f/2 lens for most of the shots.

10 sounds like a lot of fun. I have 3 and there is rumbling of a couple more for 2014. All mine live here nearby & I am lucky enough to see them frequently as I do babysitting as often as I can get it.

Well I took a giant leap this week & put in for my lifetime retirement from my employer. I could wait 8 years & get a larger sum but the reduced sum now means I will get more in the long run so after hemming & hawing about it for a while, my hubby convinced me to take it early. Feels weird that I will truly be retired from Nursing which I started into in 1983!

Unfortunately, 7 of my grandchildren now live in Alabama, I usually just see them once of twice a year.

Congratulations! I retired July 1st of this year, at the age of 59.5. I, too, could have waited, but we had a great pension plan that allowed for early retirement. It is wonderful - lots of time for hobbies, grandkids and every thing else. I now pick my 8 year old granddaughter up from school each day.

A new chapter is about to begin in your life. I hope you immensely enjoy it.
