Penel, such great pictures. I love the expression you caught on Basil, and who could resist those two faces on Basil and Digby! That Christmas one is a stunner, and congrats on the BBC picture.

Emma: What a neat thing, to see so many birds and it looks like Basil was enjoying himself.

Oh Look: That was some crazy wind, I heard it caused three deaths.

I have been a little busy. I volunteered to be in charge of the "Christmas Tree Lighting" for our 4-H group and only a few lights on the tree work. The tree had all new lights put on it last year so I wasn't expecting it to be a big deal. We are going to climb the tree and hopefully hang new lights tomorrow. I hope we get it done in time and it looks good, my name is on this.

This is the tree

and a pic I took from our dog training field yesterday - the white building is The Shard - tallest building in the UK. We are very high up with a fabulous view - unfortunately it means its very windy and cold!!!

Good photo journalism, OhLook. Nice, crisp pic.
It takes quite a bit of wind to do that to a tree.

Beautiful doggie pics again, Penel. The portrait especially is wonderful.

A great pic, Penel. But it looks totally not UK! It looks more like an American skyline.

Those are all wonderful images, I also really like the portrait! Living on a hill myself I know the view comes with a price sometimes. :D

Stina, How in the world?? Good luck!
Penel, excellent as always
OhLook, glad you made it through.
Emma, love the geese shot. Not sure I'd want the sandy dog in my car after that trip, though. ;)

Hubs and I went out to the beach at sunset again tonight. :)

Beautiful image, Brenda. That light is spectacular!!
We were able to get almost half the tree done today. One more day, a few more strands of lights and were done. I hope it looks good, and I'll try and get a picture of it.

Something from this evening.

Brenda & Stina; love the golden hour glow in your photos; always my favorite lighting.

Well after 3 days of fever, chills, aches and coughing myself silly, I think today I might be starting to snap out of it. The plan is to actually get dressed tomorrow & do something with myself as I have been barely able to walk around the house for 4 days. I also got 2 phone calls today for newborns (both due in Feb), one maternity shoot & 2 high school senior shoots. No more time allotted to the sick bed :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

LOL.
I much prefer changing lenses the non-professional way: using two hands!

Me too Levina - and preferably inside without exposing the sensor and back of the lens to loads of dust!!!

I had a play with some old Christmas images today…

I change lenses cheerfully outside all the time. :D But I do take precautions. I turn off the camera to reduce static charge of the sensor, I will turn my back to the wind and make sure to turn the camera so that the sensor side is facing the ground.

Of course I do come home with the occasional dust bunny. Or two... However, my Giotto rocket blower has always been able to remove it all (knock on wood).

Cute shot, Penel.
Didn't Bing Crosby sing that song?
