I think I am going to have to get a tele-converter. We saw a beautiful bull moose, but he was too far away even for my 75-300 to get a decent shot.

I still have a LOT of them to go through, so may post here and there throughout the winter as the weather doesn't always cooperate to get out and shoot! Very hard to get good shots off as they're so small and quick. Great singers too. Over here they're harbingers of Winter, together with Robins. I cropped the image as much as I could but can't crop more without significant loss of IQ. joayne wrote in post #16493680 Just curious about your new avatar it makes me laugh in a good way. Do you have a story to tell? LOL. Absolutely, but I'm sworn to secrecy! Let's just say it's something of the AMASS Beta environment... joayne wrote in post #16493680 Mo. Please feel better. I've be laid low with a bad cough and no energy. I'm hoping I've beaten it. I just giving myself more time to get stronger! I'm doing really well in PT. Head of my class, but I always enjoy a competition . Getting stronger everyday. Drove my car for the first time today. I've passed the test from my "family" and I'm free to drive! A huge goal for me. So..I'll see you all soon. Hahahaha ![]() Too bad you too have a cold, but great to learn you're doing so well, Jo!! To be able to drive again, well, that's independence isn't it? I have grandkids everyday this week so I imagine I will be quite busy; postponing putting the tree up until the end of the week when the littlest one will be with his other grandma & I will be feeling more ready to do the work. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Levina de Ruijter wrote in post #16492309 Great shots everybody! Maureen, hope you'll feel better soon. I went out this morning and came home with a number of decent shots that I need to process, but here's one of a Winter Wren. I only had the 300mm with me and he was a distance away, but it's my first of the season so it'll have to do. ![]()

MaureenSouza Ms. MODERATOR Something Spectacular! More info | Dec 02, 2013 20:52 | #3210 Love the coot, Levina! I cannot get anywhere close to them around here as they scoot off very quickly. Depending on how the weather is this weekend, I may scoot up to the lake as I saw in the paper there are several pair of eagles wintering there as well as the regulars: a flock of white pelicans. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
