Barb; lovely photos. I envy you the moose.... one of my fave animals and love the east coast. We are hoping to make it back again next year.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

The moose really are a pleasure yet very challenging to capture! I think I am going to have to get a tele-converter. We saw a beautiful bull moose, but he was too far away even for my 75-300 to get a decent shot.
It would be so wonderful, Maureen, if you made it out to the east coast next year! Would be a pleasure to hopefully meet up sometime if you had the time!

Here are a couple more I was pretty pleased with. I still have a LOT of them to go through, so may post here and there throughout the winter as the weather doesn't always cooperate to get out and shoot! LOL

Well right after I typed my earlier post, my baby shoot cancelled because he woke up with a cold today. We will try it again next week; I also have 2 other babies coming next week so there are lots of opportunities.

Barb, we are talking about NYC and up to Pittsfield, Massachusetts for a few days (all my cousins live there or near there). If we decided to make it, I would love to schedule a day that maybe you could come down & meet up for a photo outing in the Berkshires.

I love wrens. I had cactus wrens nesting here, but they left. I have those here, but a different name.. Very pretty photo Levina,,

Just curious about your new avatar it makes me laugh in a good way. Do you have a story to tell?

Mo. Please feel better. I've be laid low with a bad cough and no energy. I'm hoping I've beaten it. I just giving myself more time to get stronger! I'm doing really well in PT. Head of my class, but I always enjoy a competition ;). Getting stronger everyday.

Drove my car for the first time today. I've passed the test from my "family" and I'm free to drive! A huge goal for me.

So..I'll see you all soon. Hahahaha

Thanks, Jo! Wrens are great, aren't they? Very hard to get good shots off as they're so small and quick. Great singers too. Over here they're harbingers of Winter, together with Robins. I cropped the image as much as I could but can't crop more without significant loss of IQ.

LOL. Absolutely, but I'm sworn to secrecy! Let's just say it's something of the AMASS Beta environment...

Too bad you too have a cold, but great to learn you're doing so well, Jo!! To be able to drive again, well, that's independence isn't it?
So... Amsterdam, next year? :D

That is very good news, Joayne! Back in to the swing of things is where you need to be! I have grandkids everyday this week so I imagine I will be quite busy; postponing putting the tree up until the end of the week when the littlest one will be with his other grandma & I will be feeling more ready to do the work.
14 days tomorrow since I got this bug and I have had everything affected; fever for 5 days, muscles, bones & skin hurting, sore throat, cough, head congestion & a sinus infection. It ran the whole gamut & I am still coughing & congested. At least the fever & body aches are gone.

Great shots everybody!

Maureen, hope you'll feel better soon.

I went out this morning and came home with a number of decent shots that I need to process, but here's one of a Winter Wren. I only had the 300mm with me and he was a distance away, but it's my first of the season so it'll have to do. :)

I've processed another pic from yesterday. Just a Coot, but I like it. :)
Uncropped by the way.

Very nice, Levina. I've never seen one of these.

Found this going through some files from last week. I disregarded it at first, but I think I kinda like it. :)

Wow you've all been busy - that's good.
Stina I love the first shot from the branding. Far and away my fave.
Brenda the landscape shots are superb.
Levina - ooh you were very close to that coot! aren't they quite shy normally?
I'm sure I've missed someone - Joayne great to hear you're able to drive again - independence is so important.

Love the coot, Levina! I cannot get anywhere close to them around here as they scoot off very quickly. Depending on how the weather is this weekend, I may scoot up to the lake as I saw in the paper there are several pair of eagles wintering there as well as the regulars: a flock of white pelicans.
