Love the coot, Levina! I cannot get anywhere close to them around here as they scoot off very quickly. Depending on how the weather is this weekend, I may scoot up to the lake as I saw in the paper there are several pair of eagles wintering there as well as the regulars: a flock of white pelicans.

Eagles and white Pelicans! Much better than a coot. :)
Coots are skittish indeed, Maureen. Takes patience and time to be able to get close to them. But this one came very close indeed.

You've met the challenge!
I kept thinking that it was so familiar, but yet I could not place it.

I have been busy today! Tristan helped me play with my photo set-up that I am using on my baby shoots the next 2 weeks ( I have decided to trade out the background for red)

& then I made an ornament wreath. It looks small here but it is actually huge; mounted 136 ornaments on a 16 inch round piece of foam; plus I used 18 glue sticks in the hot glue gun. It looks so sparkly & pretty in my front entry. ::

Great looking wreath, Maureen!

Love that pic of Tristan. He's getting so big! Not a baby anymore but moving into the toddler phase. He's adorable.

Tree decorated & all my other holiday decorations are out & now all I have to do is wrap gifts. I have a few things still to purchase but I have half days empty tomorrow & Friday so I am going to go for it.

What do you do for gift giving? This year all the adults (my kids & their spouses & us) picked a name & we set a $50 limit. Of course I buy for all 3 grandsons but Skip & I already pre-paid for 10 boat trips out with the whales in a few weeks so that is our gift to each other. I am trying to get out from buying for all my adult kids but I will buy pajamas, a jacket & toy for 2 girls & 2 boys instead.

Christmas shopping???? Ya mean you're supposed to do that BEFORE the 24th???? :-D
Precious little pup there Penel!!
Maureen -Tristan sure is getting big! Such a cutie! And keep me posted on your possible trip east. I found it's about a 6 1/2 hour drive from here to Pittsfield. I've never been to the Birkshires! Would be a great excuse to get there! :-)

Christmas shopping for me is all done on the iPad. Prime shipping.

In my family the adults all enjoy the children's gifts. Adults don't get gifts and I for one don't miss the shopping for my adult nieces and nephews. They play with the kids toys and it is chaos!
... And so much fun!
