@ EastBayGirl thx

Cool dino pics :)

Woohoo last day of work and 2 weeks holiday for me. I'm gonna bake like crazy.
Here are some of the processed pics I took on the baby shoot, they came out pretty ok (I think)

My vote is on three and five, Laurie. :)

We went to Vegas and I didn't get any pictures really. I never made it to the strip, it was a roping trip only. I did take a couple pictures with my cell though.

You could sit in the bar and watch the roping.

I like them, Stina. They look better than the family shoot I did today; I was not happy with any of the 58 pictures I took. I have another cold & feel rather crummy so I think everything was off. I am trying to salvage a few of them in CS5 right now & I don't feel like it.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I had the flu for 3 weeks; only felt well the last week or so & now it is a cold. The joys of having grandkids who come over sick......

Yeah, these things go round in a family. But if it's just a cold it should be over in a few days, Maureen. Here's hoping that it will be!

Good morning everyone!
I've really been enjoying everyone's shots!! The baby pictures are adorable!!
I am so sorry to hear that you are sick yet again Maureen! Seems like you can't catch a break!! Hope you get over this cold quickly!!
Well, the weather here has been absolutely horrendous! Since Friday night we're been getting sleet and freezing rain here. Made it home from work Friday night ok, but left to go in this morning, got half way there and turned around and came home. The roads were HORRIBLE!!!! And I have an all wheel drive Pilot I drive! UGH!!! And it's STILL freezing rain out there. The trees and the power lines are all icing up.
Haven't had the camera out much, but did manage to get a couple of bird shots out the window at the feeder:

I know they're a little fuzzy, but I kind of liked them. Not often I get to see the female Cardinal so close! :-)

Sorry you haven't been feeling well.. there has been this bad case of a cold or something going around down here. Some of my coworkers have gotten it and my bf has been sick for a month now and has "walking pneumonia"..he's been to the doc for a check and meds but he's been feeling dizzy and felt like he was going to pass out a couple times..:( Hope you feel better soon Maureen!

is this the female Cardinal? looks like a beautiful bird.

Sorry to hear you're not well Maureen.

We've had an awful storm, last night - my greenhouse got totally trashed and smashed up, spent most of the day clearing it up and making it safe for the dogs to be around (its polycarbonate, not glass). Where we live there is only one route in and out - this morning it was 5ft deep in water. This evening its still 4ft deep, even though I have a 4wheel drive I don't fancy wrecking my car driving through water that deep. So fingers crossed it drains into the neighbouring fields overnight. Unfortunately the fields are saturated though.
Here's a phone pic I took this morning. (so frustrating we could see the refuse collectors on the other side - they won't be back for two weeks now!)

Thanks, Penel. My husband didn't do so well. He let his nerves get the better of him, but he was really happy with his horse. :)

That's one big puddle you have there! We could sure use some rain here, it's dry, dry, dry!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Good morning everyone and a VERY Merry Christmas to you!!
Penel-Yes that is the female Cardinal. They sure are pretty birds!
And it sure has been really bad weather here. There are still thousands of people without power in the southern part of the state. My brother-in-law included. Some may not get ppower back until as late as Friday I hear.
All last weekend into Monday we had an ice storm. In this picture you can see the coating in the trees.
There were a couple of Cardinals in these trees.
