That is great, Penel! I hope everyone had a merry holiday. After 2 days packed with family activities, lots of snapshots & one trip to the movies with my husband (we saw Saving Mr. Banks today), I am wiped out. Feeling very blessed and very grateful, I am now tripping off to bed.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I just did the strangest thing today: I bought a new camera!
New to me, that is. A 1D mark III. From my shop. It's in absolute mint condition and it comes with all the original stuff as well as a 12 month warranty. :)
The shop was closed of course so I bought it online. Hopefully it'll be here on Saturday, although with all the extra mail sent for the holidays it may take longer.

I've already put out a couple of ads for the 1D II N on some local photography forums.
Exciting!

Congratulations ..
I've got no experience with the N, but I got the mk3 from a member here and love it..
For you there will be little difference in weight or size, but it was a big change for me.
