Yes.. American Football is winding down the season..
We are in playoff mode and there are 4 teams left (there are 2 divisions.. American Football Conference and the National Football Confence)
They will play each other 2 AFC Teams and 2 NFC Teams to be Champions of their Conference...
Then February 3rd is the (So Called ) Super Bowl where 1 AFC and 1 NFC team play..
The winner being the all Conference Champs

It really is a big deal here.. That Sunday is the day to go anywhere by car.. as everyone is watching the Television
Huge parties.. even if you don't care about football a lot of people watch..
Advertisers pay Millions of Dollars per 15 second commerical to advertise during the game

Gundogs: San Francisco Forty-niners. The team name alludes to the 1849 Gold Rush.

Very nice, Jo!!! I love the soft light in these & quite a contrast from my angle out in the bright sunlight.

I never thought a lot about football until I married my hubby 30 years ago. Then I watched it some but when our son was about 11 he became a huge football fanatic; then played 4 years in high school. His team even won the Valley Championship in 1996 so the more I watched, the more addicted I became. I have about 4 teams I root for each year; my fave being the Patriots since the 90's. Love Seattle as well. I am thinking both teams have an excellent chance of making it to the Super Bowl this year. We shall see; in football, anything is possible.

Beautiful 65 degree day here in California!!! No kids except to pick Aaron up from school this afternoon. Yesterday Aaron & I went & got flu shots as a lot of younger people are dying from it this year.... Aaron was not happy about it but agreed, then when the needle came at his arm, he tried to bolt but I held him down & told the guy to just hurry up & do it. The kid hardly felt a thing but the whole idea of getting poked with a needle freaked him out. It took a bit of self control for me not to laugh at him.

This weekend we are going over to beautiful Morro Bay. One of POTN members, Kevin lives there with his wife Anne & ever since we met on a photo meetup about 7 years ago, we have been great friends. They live in an area where otter, falcons, coyotes & other creatures are readily available for photographing. I will bring some food, wine will flow & we will have a great time.
