Beautiful 65 degree day here in California!!! No kids except to pick Aaron up from school this afternoon. Yesterday Aaron & I went & got flu shots as a lot of younger people are dying from it this year.... Aaron was not happy about it but agreed, then when the needle came at his arm, he tried to bolt but I held him down & told the guy to just hurry up & do it. The kid hardly felt a thing but the whole idea of getting poked with a needle freaked him out. It took a bit of self control for me not to laugh at him.

This weekend we are going over to beautiful Morro Bay. One of POTN members, Kevin lives there with his wife Anne & ever since we met on a photo meetup about 7 years ago, we have been great friends. They live in an area where otter, falcons, coyotes & other creatures are readily available for photographing. I will bring some food, wine will flow & we will have a great time.

Any of you have plans for this weekend?

sounds like a beautiful place to visit Maureen.

More rain here this weekend, our field where we do dog training is so wet we can't use it, so work was cancelled, feels strange to have a Saturday off!

Please send some of that rain our way, we are in desperate need of it.

Great day here in Morro Bay...... 87 degrees! What!?! People in bikinis on the beach is unheard of here this time of year. Went to see a grove full of migrating monarch butterflies & photographed the sunset over the pier. Tomorrow we are off early to the elephant seals giving birth up the coast.

I didn't realize Morro Bay had a Monarch Grove!
I hitch-hiked up the coast one year at the end of October..
There were dead monarchs everywhere.. The ground was orange!

We had an awesome morning at the elephant seals; got there at first light & I hope I have some great shots to share. We have been out trooping all day but now settled down to watch the Seattle- 49er game. Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay, my team won!,, I have rooted for both the Broncos & Seahawks all year so I am excited for the Super Bowl. Since my hubby is picking the Broncos to win, I will jump to the other side but I also think the Broncos will win. But it is fun to root for the under dog

I can believe that, OhLook. I read about those conditions in the newspaper a few days ago. Pretty bad. I wish I could send some of our rain your way...
