Went to Virginia to help my daughter wedding dress shop. Had time to take a few shots along Skyline Drive in Virginia. Not the best of lighting but good practice for me anyhow.

Thanks.

Lovely shots Brenda.

Today I walked my dogs with a friend - and we saw the grebe dancing very briefly. A couple of shots - quality is not the best as fairly heavy crops.

All of the excitement obviously made them hungry as next thing they were catching fish.

I also tried catching the dew on spider webs.

Emma, to decrease mist & fog issues I play with mostly the contrast in layering. It is very easy to over contrast the photo so I make a duplicate layer, add a bunch of contrast & then I use the eraser at 50% to remove the contrast from the bird & foreground until I am happy with it. Fog is a real pain! :)

I am back in Hemet checking on my mom. Hospice is in the picture now but mom doesn't seem much worse than when I was here 2 weeks ago.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Cheers to you and your Mom Maureen..
Hope she is OK.. My Mom had Hospice visits for a year,
she recovered, we stopped Hospice.. then a couple years later
we used them for another year.. They really are pretty helpful,
tho, with you being a trained professional, you most likely know
what they know ;)

Hope your visit is a good one!

Great pictures, Emma. How neat to watch the birds interact like that, I really like that third shot. The webs are nicely done and I really like the first one with the colors you captured.

I hope everything goes well with your mom, Maureen.

I think you did real well with the lighting, Brenda. Congratulations to your daughter on her upcoming wedding.

Yes, this is round two with Hospice. Mom spent 5 days/nights in bed without eating or drinking so we thought maybe we should get them in. Of course after they came, she hopped right out of bed & is doing fairly well. Ebb & flow is pretty normal in the latter years.

Thanks for all of your well wishes!! It is very much appreciated.

Mom is actually at home; Hospice comes here which is really great. Mom is a bit confused on how she got here ( has lived in this house 23 years) so it would be really hard for her to be somewhere truly strange.

Thank you, Ladies.

Picked this up while I was in Virginia.

Stina, I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet. I purchased some other random camera stuff from someone off Craigs list and he threw this in with the batch. It has a unused roll of film but it also has a roll that has already been shot which has me extremely curious. :)
