Tomorrow my friend is riding dressage test at Hickstead so I am going along to take pictures. She isn't expecting to do well as there are 96 in the class (!!) but will possibly only ever get to ride at Hickstead once so it will be a big day out. Hopefully I will get something worth posting.

Even if she ends up 96th from 96 it'll be quite an experience to compete at Hickstead! You must post some pics later.

Whenever I go to Morro Bay, and it's been a few years, I always like to visit Hearst Castle. Yes it might be a tourist trap, but there is just something about it, of course I also like history and architecture.

You miss the ocean and I miss the mountains. I visit Wrightwood a lot since it's so close, I'd visit Big Bear as well, but the fires kinda took over for the time being.

As for Disneyland, I love going, but hate the crowds. I have also gone during the week, during school, and it is still crowded! The only relief I had is when Disneyland used to host private parties for companies, so they would close the park down from 8 pm to 1 am. Now that was COOL, you could run around and get on any ride you wanted, heck you could even stay on the ride, and keep going. Unfortunately, I've heard they don't do that anymore!

As for The Lion King, I love stage plays, but the cost of tickets keeps me away. I will, however, foot the cost for my granddaughter, if she can come down here, during the time it is playing, if it's still playing.:-)

I love walking the ends of Morro Bay. Awesome walking paths have been installed out in the estuary & at the other end, to the Rock. Birds galore, otters, Pelicans & crashing waves all make me very happy.

We are waiting for autumn here, still 90's until next week, then we see the 80's. Pray for El Niño to show up next month...... This state is very thirsty. ߒǰߒǰߒǰߒǰߒǰߒǢؔ️☔️☔️☔️

Good morning, ladies. :-)

I hope you are all well. We have a cat that I noticed a while ago and I thought he was a stray. I started putting out food so he would stay around (mice control) and he is now a regular at our house in the evenings. He must have been someones pet, because he is very friendly and not afraid of my Jack Russell at all! He is smart enough to stay away from my larger dogs though. :)
He talks a lot and wants to be pet, constantly! He moves around so much, that it's hard to get a picture of him, but I managed one with my phone.
This guy is pretty tough to be living out here and he has already taken three doves. Hopefully he's just as good at hunting mice!

Good morning! I have the grandkids today. Got a wedding set for December, right before Christmas, and that's just awful, but it is what it is. The bride was one of my favorite students. She is getting married locally and the reception is at the chapel gym. I'm hoping to get some help from friends to shoot it all. It's just bad timing. All my kids will be home.

How is everyone today? I got a few from last night's Supermoon, but none were amazing. My husband is so lazy these days. He didn't even take his telescope out of the bedroom to see the moon last night.

My children and grandchildren are the reason, but it's the passion that drives me to get the perfect image of everything.

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since I posted but the combination of work and travel have kept me busy. Yesterday was a fun day. My daughter and I went for a full beauty day while her older ones were in school, so only the baby came with us. He had a bundle of fun. As hard as it is to believe he turned a year old last month.

I also spent part of the summer in Florida in Tampa and St. Pete's. Had a wonderful time and one of the highlights of the trip was having the chance to see the Salvatore Dali Museum. Just wonderful. I have a couple more trips scheduled over the next few months so hopefully will have the chance to make some more photo memories.

The photos below are a of shot of my grandson taken yesterday with my little point and shoot, and a shot of one of my favorite paintings at the museum taken while I was out of town.

Maureen, I love your whale shots taken at Moro Bay. It is so beautiful there although it has been years since I have had the chance to visit. Your grandchildren are adorable and growing so fast. I hope that your husband is doing well.

Love the kid shots, Maureen and Willowrose.

A went for a little ride the other evening and ended up with a couple pictures I can share.

It was pretty windy yesterday, but I managed to get a shot of this little guy.

Both shots are lovely but the shot of the deer is so artistic. It looks like it could be framed over a mantle or on the front page of "Outdoor Life". Beautiful! Thank you for your compliment on my grandson. They grow so quickly. :)

You are right about how fast they grow. It almost makes me dizzy thinking Tristan will be 3 the end of next month & my own son will be 36 at Christmas. I am pretty sure I am not much older than that myself
;-)a

Stina, I love how all the colors in the bird shot are the same yet that little bird stands right out. My 300mm lens is off to the shop; it works fine but the hood (which is built in) has stripped from the tightening wheel so it needs to be repaired because it drives me nuts! I keep think about selling my 85/1.2 lens and put the money towards a 400mm lens.......
