I just got that Crumpler Maureen, and I think it is a great bag for day trips that don't require hiking, climbing etc. I think we have the same LowPro back pack ;)

At 5 feet tall.. most bags are made for big guys and even the small Tenba bag I took to Costa Rica chaffed my arms as the shoulder straps are a bit wide. For most travel I take a rolling Think Tank, but that would not have worked out for this last trip and it won't work out for Africa this summer. My bag collection is getting ridiculous! ... and I'm still looking

I am 5'5" & I still have to pay attention that my bag is not man-sized :)

Well I got a bit of good news today. My 3 year old grandson will be allowed to visit with me/sit with me at Aaron's Little League Games. I am so excited to see him; it has been 4 months. Now I cannot wait for Saturday :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Stina, that's too bad about the bag! At 5'1" I'm always on the lookout for a good but not large bag. :) I recently picked up the ThinkTank CityWalker 20, which is about the outer limit of size for me, but I really like it. I'm thinking of complementing it with the CityWalker 10, we'll see how that goes.

Spring is on the way! It was rainy (real rain, not this gray skies and maybe misty junk we've had for weeks) today, and the crocuses are starting to bloom, so I took the macro lens to the park at lunch.

Gorgeous shots, Meghan. I love shooting flowers :)
Well, I was supposed to do a photo shoot late morning but things happened & mom didn't bring the baby until late afternoon. My light was gone & I didn't feel like setting up lights (I was annoyed) so I took a handful of shots and called it a day. Baby was cranky from cutting teeth but the mom wanted photos for the birthday party invitations so we had to get them done. Here is the winner.

Aww this is lovely, she looks very happy. Glad the client was happy despite the shoot being a bit tricky.

thank you for posting the wolf pics, they are super, and I'm envious of you being able to spend time with them. The only wolves here (that you can interact with slightly) in the UK are in captive centres not to my liking really, so having visited once years ago I wouldn't go back :(

I hope you all have a great weekend. I'm dog training tomorrow, then lunching with my Mum and MIL on Sunday - it's also my Lola's birthday (my eldest dog), she's 10 and my most special girl of all, so I'll be spending lots of time hugging her I expect :D

Well I got my Think Tank Retrospective 7 today, and the darn thing is bigger then I wanted. BUMMER!! Looks like I'm returning it and going to try the #5. I sure hope I like it ? Being 5"3 makes most bags seem HUGE on me! I was so hoping to use it while I was away, looks like I'm stuck with my backpack. Just a little rant before I take off for the weekend. :(

Sorry the bag didn't fit, Stina. Hopefully the #5 will be alright. Choosing a new bag is really difficult. I have been looking for a new bag to carry my 1D2n with 400mm mounted (and nothing more!) and have been reading/shopping for weeks. Every time I thought I had found the ideal bag it turned out something somehow was wrong with it and I had to start all over. I now decided on the Think Tank Digital Holster 50 v2.0. Bought it yesterday, hoped it would be here today, but nooo... I just received an email, they're out of stock and expected next week. Bummer.

That Digital Holster is butt ugly though and I'm already secretly looking for another bag, something pretty...

We have been selling cameras, lenses & bags on ebay. When we cleaned out the cupboards, we were shocked to see how many bags we had!! I had about 8 of them and 2 I had never taken out of the wrapper. I need my backpack, my LowePro & Crumpler as they all get a ton of use. I have a black Purse Bag that i started out with; doesn;t look at all like a camera bag but the strap on it in uncomfortable for me.
Today is a no photo, easy day. Only gotta pick Aaron up from school later on. Hmmmm, what to do with myself? Not much... my next 6 days are booked solid :)

Oh my gosh ladies, it is beautiful weather at my dads. It's kinda hot. I didn't pack for 78 degrees weather. We have been lazy so far, but we are heading out to the beach. Going to the pier first then metal detecting in the sand. Hoping for a nice sunset picture tonight. Hopefully I have some good pictures to post when I get home.

And a happy birthday to you dog, Penel. My oldest dog is Bodie, a 14 year old Jack Russell terrier. Love the rascal.

It is going to be 78 here today & through the weekend too! But Monday the high pressure is moving out & we will return to cool weather & hopefully get some rain! Have a great time at the coast. I love the Central California coastline. To me, it is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the country

Great pictures Meghan and Maureen! I was absent yesterday cleaning the house and such until my mother-in-law arrived last night. Today has been eventful, I showed my MIL around town, got home to a message about my credit card, found out someone charged $450 worth of cell phones to my credit card so I had that whole mess to deal with, and as soon as my husband gets home-he and I are supposed to go to Big Bend National Park (a trip I've been dying to make for 8 months now) for the weekend. I hope he gets home soon since Big Bend is 3 1/2 hrs from here but our hotel for the first night is supposedly almost 5 hrs from here. Moving on, I rented a 17-40L lens for this trip so I'm super excited to see what pictures I'll get. This little adventure should be interesting since I have to stop every 2 hours or so to get gas (since we'll be out in the middle of nowhere and we don't want to run out), plus we have to buy meals and everything with no credit card because it was cancelled today. Anyway I hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend and I'll talk to you when I get back!
