We were getting this magazine for about 6 months. It was ok, had some good articles in it.

Thinking about subscribing. Any recommendations for a different magazine?

Why not a book? Well online resources keep me reading at the PC, looking for reading on the can, if you know what I mean. Short articles.

Popular photography is a fun magazine but not really rich in details or information. I picked up a 2 year subscription for $11 and for that it's worth it. The other one I picked up for $11 was Outdoor photographer. Also a fun read but not a whole lot of useful info.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Shutterbug is fun too. And as cheap as they are, why not just sub? There's always something interesting in them, sometimes more, sometimes less. I also really like the British mag Advanced Photographer. Lots of great info in every issue, the only one I keep for future reference. The others I tear out pages that interest me.

Professional Photographer magazine is pretty interesting.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

if you have a tablet you can download a lot of photography magazines, for paper magazine reading "on the can" Popular Photography is a good choice

Pop Photo tends to be a gear-selling ad vehicle more so than a truly useful photography magazine, in my experience. They're one of my 'go to', print resources when checking out new, upcoming gear, etc...but they're pretty light to technique and learning.

I have gotten more use out of Digital Photographer, out of the UK, when it comes to learning new techniques/etc.

Thanks, all.
Kind of overwhelmed by so many. I'll have a look back and pick one.
