hey all! i recently made a cosmetic upgrade to my hoods. found a local auto shop that does vinyl car wraps. i paid them a visit with hoods in hand. I must say, I am extremely happy with the outcome. They were all hand wrapped within a few hours. YMMV depending on how busy they are.

24-70

It's an easy DIY with 3m's di-noc. Don't hate it, don't love it. So whatever floats your boat. :D

How much did it cost you to get those hoods wrapped?

It looks neat and all, but I don't think I could justify the cost...

i understand it's not for everyone. to each his/her own. my hoods were pretty scratched up, so i figured to give it "makeover".

cost $30 per hood including material.

you must be pretty handy, cuz' stretching and getting the vinyl cut cleanly to the edges is pretty tricky. not to mention the curves of the 16-35 hood.

A little heat goes a long way when working with vinyl.

3m di-noc is extremely easy to work with. Not proud of it, but I used to wrap car interiors with it myself.

I actually love this, I've been wanting to find out how to do it for a while and my search tonight found this thread.

Can you tell me it can be removed again I.e. if I ever sell the particular hood on?

30 dollar for a single hood? Did you buy a new hood for it?

I did it for just 2 dollar. But I wrapped the original hoods, a long time ago.
